Drake destination
ProSeries to Drake, and which of the five reports to send
ProSeries has no direct asset export, so the printout is the route. It prints the same Depreciation and Amortization Report several times over, and picking the wrong copy is the one way to get a clean-looking file full of the wrong numbers.
Five reports, one of them yours
A ProSeries return commonly carries the report headed "- CURRENT YEAR FEDERAL -", plus "- NEXT YEAR FEDERAL -", an Alternative Minimum Tax copy, a BOOK copy, and "- CURRENT YEAR STATE -". They list the same assets with different figures. Send the current-year federal one. If you send the whole return we will pick it out and tell you on screen which pages we read, because a next-year projection ties against its own totals and no arithmetic check can tell you it was the wrong year.
Its subtotals don't name themselves
ProSeries totals each group with a bare "* OTHER TOTAL -" line, sometimes six times on one report, with the group's name on a heading line above the rows. We keep them apart and check each group against its own subtotal rather than lumping them — which is how a document with six identical labels still ties group by group instead of only in the grand.

104 positional columns, MMDDYYYY text dates, data from row 2. You get the file; Drake's own import screen does the rest.
Questions
- Can't I use Fixed Asset Manager to move them?
- You can, and it is a legitimate two-hop route: ProSeries to Fixed Asset Manager, then out. It is more steps and it needs the licence. This starts from a printout you already have.
- Our report has assets with negative cost — adjustment lines. Does that break it?
- No. Adjustment entries with a negative basis are transcribed as printed; we do not treat them as damage and we do not net them away.
